After 8 hours of debate, the city council voted 4-3 in favor of passing a law that would protect gays and lesbians from discrimination in the workplace. The same law also protects heterosexuals, so if for example a heterosexual wished to work at a gay club they could not be turned away due to their sexual orientation. The law still has to go through a final vote in two weeks, but the vote on Monday is seen as a very positive indication of the law passing. So far, a good positive step...
Orange County School Board member Barbara Rushing said this law is simply a smoke screen meant to open the door to other goals of the "gay agenda"...goals which are obviously detrimental to society, such as workplace benefits for gay partners, same-sex marriages, and gay adoption.
The horror of it all! Imagine!
A world filled with...
...equality.
